Twelve Easy Words Often Misspelled [1]

You should already know how to correctly use the following words. However, these words
are so commonly misspelled that a review of them is warranted.

The commonly misspelled words are:

  1. Its
  2. It’s
  3. Their
  4. There
  5. They’re
  6. To
  7. Too
  8. Two
  9. Whose
  10. Who’s
  11. Your
  12. You’re

From time-to-time we all make mistakes using common words.  Unfortunately, people
make judgments about us based on our writing skills. It does not matter whether an error
stems from a lack of knowledge, a lack of time, poor proofreading skills, or a typographical
error; an error reflects poorly on each of us.  This semester let’s stamp out the improper
usage of these particular words..
